Three reasons partitions aren’t just for offices

In our previous blog entry, we talked about how suspended ceilings can be deployed to improve customer-facing premises. Did you know that partitions can also be used in these premises? You may think that partitions only serve a purpose in offices and other employee-focused areas. In reality, however, they can be very useful in customer-focused spaces, too. In today’s blog, we’ll look at the advantages of using partitions in customer-facing premises.

1. Discreetly separating customer areas from employee-only areas

In any customer-facing premises, there will be a few areas where only employees are supposed to go (such as back offices and stock rooms). Partitions can be used to discreetly conceal the doors to these areas, thereby making it less likely that customers will wander in by mistake while improving the appearance of the area. After all, stylish partitions are generally a lot prettier than open doors to employee-only office areas. Of course, if you have employee only areas that aren’t in separate rooms, partitions are also a great way to delineate them and prevent customer access.

2. Providing a space to talk to customers

Not all businesses exist to sell physical products to their customers. Some (such as financial businesses and legal advice firms) sell complex services. If you run one of these businesses, you already know how important it is to talk to your customers and ascertain their needs. Partitions can be used to create self-contained, private areas where you or your employees can talk to customers without being distracted or interrupted.

3. Organising an open area

If you run a business that sells a wide variety of different goods, it may be necessary to create separate areas within your premises for each type of product. Partitions are a great way to do this, as they can subdivide a large area into smaller units without eliminating its spacious feel.

Here at SLP Interiors Ltd, we offer both partitions and suspended ceilings in Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Wells, Gloucester and the South West. If you need partitions for your customer-facing premises, contact us today.
